Time for yet another update. Today was the first day of classes and I already know that its going to be one rough semester. My language based class is really small, but its fairly obvious that I have the least amount of German knowledge. When she asked me what I would like to do while in Germany, all I said was 'sleep' because that was one of the few verbs I could remember. Yeah, I'm a sped.

I have gone to visit the cathedral a second time by myself and I think that is my favorite spot in the whole city. There are always a lot of people around but no one looks twice if you sit in the pews by yourself. Also, outside the cathedral are street performers every day and I love watching them.

I have visited 'the Ringe' several times and visited many pubs and bars on the Ringe. There are million and one shops that are open even on a Sunday (although I think that's more because it is still tourist season). Oh and I should mention the head shops. There are some huuuuuuuuge bongs being sold at a nice rate of 60 euros and then some pretty tiny bowls. Also at these head shops is the ever pretty treat of absynthe. Uh, yeah, I'm investing in a bottle of that some time soon! Hahaha...

I have a really hard time responding in German, but I'm definitely getting better at listening and piecing sentences and ideas together. It helps that my host mother has given me a television for my room and its on anytime I am in my room. Oh, I couldn't sleep last night until about 3, so I flip through the channels and find lots and lots of porn! It was nuts because these were channels that had kids' programs on earlier in the evening. I gave up watching tv after that.

Anyway, I'm starving so I'm heading off. Ciao.
